    Takeoff shot dead in Houston aged 28

    Takeoff – the famous rapper in the group Migos – was shot dead while attending a party with his colleague Quavo.

    According to CNN, Takeoff attended a party at the 810 Billiards & Bowling area in Houston on November 1. When he went out, he and his group of friends were shot five times in a row by a strange man and died at the scene. Two other people – a 23-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman – were injured and taken to the hospital.

    Rapper Quavo stood near Takeoff but was uninjured. A witness said the attack took place just after the party was over. About 40 people gathered outside the bowling alley to witness the incident, most of them leaving after the shooting. Hours before their death, Takeoff and Quavo shared many happy videos of preparing for the party.

    On social networks, many colleagues and fans remember the male singer. Drake posted a picture of the two of them performing together in 2018 and wrote: “I have the best memories of us seeing the world together, bringing the spotlight to all the cities we’ve been through. what I’m thinking about right now. Rest in peace, man from space – Takeoff.”

    Singer SZA said she couldn’t believe it when she heard that Takeoff was shot. “This world scared me. I cried. May God bless his soul and his family. A talented man has passed away,” she wrote on Twitter.

    Takeoff – real name Kirshnik Khari Ball – was born in 1994 in the US. He started his music career in 2008, known for the group Migos, founded with his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset (cardi B’s husband). Together they have many hits with stars such as Nicki Minaj, Drake… The group has received two Grammy nominations.
