The lawsuit against Activision Blizzard claims that J Allen Brack, President of Blizzard, was told of the horrific accusations made by female employees and did nothing about it…and now Brack is stepping down to “pursue new opportunities”.
J Allen Brack was mentioned by name in the lawsuit against Activision Blizzard, which claimed he was told about the sexual abuse, harassment, and discrimination happening at his company and did nothing to stop it. He also saw over a 1000 of his workers stage a walkout and protest at Blizzard HQ, and over 2000 workers sign a petition calling the companies response to these horrific claims tone deaf and unacceptable.
Brack worked as the head of the World of Warcraft team till 2018, when he took over Blizzard. More importantly, the only other person named in the Lawsuit, Alex Afrasiabi of the infamous “Cosby Suite”, worked under him on that team and stayed with Blizzard all the way till June of last year.
Brack claimed that he had spent his career fighting “bro culture” at Activision Blizzard, but as one of only 2 people specifically named in the lawsuit, both of which have now left the company, his legal troubles may still be far from over.
