Bad news for fans of violence, speed, and momentum. According to the Warzone World Series ruleset and the Twitch partnership, it appears that Dr Disrespect will be kicked out of the $ 1.2 million tournament.
Dr Disrespect hasn’t won many Warzone tournaments, but it is a sight when he participates and fans love his participation. Unfortunately, since Warzone is such a popular category on Twitch, Doc’s history has kept him from getting a lot of airtime during major events.
Now, Warzone is hosting its biggest event series of all time – the Warzone World Series, which has a jackpot prize of $ 1.2 million and puts 150 streamers, professional gamers, and content creators in private lobbies. And it appears that Doc will be prevented from participating, much less from receiving airtime.
Based on his infamous Twitch permaban, along with WSOW’s exclusivity deal with Twitch Rivals, the set of rules is concerning. While no full players have been announced, it seems highly unlikely that the Two-Time will make the cut.
After being permanently banned from Twitch, Doc is now on YouTube and Twitch streamers cannot have him involved in broadcasting him at all. In the past, Doc’s accidental involvement has even led to drama.
Now, Twitch Rivals is partnering with WSOW and that’s not good news for Doc fans. For one thing, the rule set states that all players will “stream their game exclusively on the designated streaming platform.”
In addition, the rule set also explains that all participants must “be up to date with respect to the relevant streaming platform on which the WSOW Tournament is distributed.”
