1 Year After Dr Disrespects Twitch Ban (What we know)

1 year ago to the day it was Dr Disrespect who was banned on Twitch, a permanent ban which left everyone in gaming completely lost as to what the real reason was.

And 12 months later, still nobody knows, despite Slasher infamously tweeting “look: for several hours now I have been told from credible sources the reason DrDisrespect has been banned. However, due to the importance and sensitivity around the subject I have refrained from going on it. I don’t feel comfortable with it currently.” Even now, a full year later, Slasher has never revealed the alleged reason Dr Disrespect was banned on Twitch.

Over the past year, Doc himself has offered up his own idea, called “the 3 cadets theory.” Supposedly Twitch fired him so they could afford other streamers like Shroud and Ninja and possibly Logic, who make up the “3 cadets” in Doc’s theory.

CoD actor Jeff Leach may have offered up the most viable theory of Dr Disrespect leveraging a Mixer deal to get more money from Twitch, but possibly lying about the value of his deal with Mixer, angering Twitch and leading to his ban.

So what do you think happened? Because we are a full year later…and the world still doesn’t know.
